Advice please

Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help please.
Recently, these bumps have appeared on my horse - they are mainly on his body however he does have some on his neck. They are hard to touch - they could possibly be mite bites but I wasn’t too sure. He is also struggling to lose his winter coat - if anyone knows why this might be?

If anyone can offer any help/advice that’d be really appreciated.

Has he had a recent Cushings test? I would start there if not.

Can you ask the vet to do the more expensive test, there are two and the cheaper one is very prone to false negative. I forget what they are caked, sorry.

Vet has been out and advised that he’s had an allergic reaction so no tests required at the moment. He has been put on a course of steroids for the time being!
