Massive change in economic circumstances means that I'll be moving overseas by Sept and going back to university. In a quandry about what to do with ponio - I could try to sell him but I'd only get less than what I think he's worth - plus there seems to be more supply in the market than demand at the moment. But if I keep him, I might only get to ride him 1-2 per week max for the next year. Rest of time he'll be either inside (worst of winter months) or on turnout - he'll be well looked after but just doing very little work. He is quite perfect for me (quiet in every way) but a bit small. Within 14 months, I should be back working again and things can get back to 'normal'. What should I do? Sell or not? Do the perfect ones come around twice? Also - I HATE THIS RECESSION

If he's perfect for you (and you REALLY need to think whether he is) then I would leave him where you are with a loan or a sharer. Financially it'll help, less disruption for him and you have the peace of mind of knowing he's safe.

I'm sure there would be people looking for a share on the internet atm - espec with the climate, people dont wanna buy right now but i think are more happy to share! xxx

Agree with others.
If he is your perfect horse then keep him.
I would look at getting a sharer or loaner for him so he can be in more work and you know he will be healthy and fit for when you get to ride and by finding the right person you'll know he is getting love and being cared for.

But no matter what any of us say, ultimately it is your decision.
