now my nappy one isn't so nappy was going to introduce some jumping. she's just turned 6 and our previous (limited) attempts have proved v genuine (no cat leaping/stag jumping) but often runs straight thru it or jumps then takes off and bronc bucks after it (maybe not so genuine!). (not pain related) so would i be better trying a small grid of say 5/6 low cross poles (slightly concerned she'll just run thru whole grid, poles flying everywhere!) or single small cross with pole either side to stop taking off/bucking (but she will still run out/run thru!). how did you introduce it?

also in comp rider

canter over poles and establish good pole work first. lots of trotting poles so she learns to respect them and think about her feet. then pop a small cross pole at one end of the school, and at the other a few poles. then trot the cross and ignore all the bucking and ride over the poles as she will have to think about it. just take it slow
