Hi, i wondered if i could have some advice

I have stopped taking my Welsh D hunting as he IMO is dangorous in tha situation. He is fine if we are 'going' constantly and settles to a pace but everytime we stop he leaps of all fours and flies of. Also everytime we re-start moving he just bolts. I tried to persivere but the longest i have lasted before taking him home is 45mins, I have never fell off but he makes my hands bleed and has overtook the huntman once - which i know is a NO-NO.

I have started taking my other boy and he is fien with it all.

I was wondering what Drag hunting was like and if it would be siutable for me to take Harry for a little go to see if he would settle in the situatio better than the other one?

Well there is no "proper" hunting post ban now, so most hunts are drag. Ours is faster, and less of the stopping about, but not sure how yours would take to it, sometimes that constant "race" with the horse infront just blows their brains a little.

Unfortunately for you as Rosie said the 2 kind of hunts are very similar in the way the days are set up. I would personally stick to your second horse at least then you will be able to enjoy yourself which is what it is all about!
