Will explain all later if this goes through. But... I need some advice, this big girlies a 16.2 Percheron X. Real heavyweight.

Conformation wise shes actually quite nice and all in proportion apart from her enormous tum.
She was originally bred for meat in France and what i wanted to know is that with fittening her up, do you think she would lose her tum quite abit or is it more of a conformational thing due to what she was bred for etc? Shes in really light work at the moment and hasn't been ridden properly for years.

Her back doesn't dip, and i think with proper work she could muscle up nicely. Shes got a absolutely adorable character!

Opinions? I know some horses do just keep their tums however hard you try! *laughs out loud*.

I have a percheron cross!

He too had a massive tum when I got him but I took my time getting him fit and done plenty of lunging long a low with him to strengthen his back and his tummy dropped off and he muscled up really nicely. I do have to watch that that tummy doesn't come back though, my boy is very good doer!
