Advise needed

I was wondering if anybody could help me. I own a 16.2 horse that has recently become very lethargic I have put him on a light competition mix with hi fi lite but doesnt seem to be doing much. He is satbled at night and feed twice aday exercised approx 5-6 times a week.

When did your horse start being lethargic and have their been any changes in his diet or routine?

With him being stabled at night and on competition mix, and obviously fit by the amount of exercise he is getting, I would ask the vet to do a blood test for anaemia. It may well be worth having a word with the vets anyway and if nothing comes of that, I would speak to a neutritionalist at one of the top feed companies.

Please dont take this the wrong way but I think more information is needed for anyone to advise! Type, what exercise he does, any supplements, if it is a sudden change etc. Your post is very vague.

Im C**p at feeding advice but Im sure other peeps can help and will help with a little more info!

If you are confident your feeding regime has not changed and you can find nothing else to explain the change in him, I'd get him blood tested for anaemia, perhaps to see if he has an infection, etc too.
