Hi all, my horse has been on box rest for 5 weeks due to a fall on the road and broken knees so we havnt had an 'injury' as such to ligments/tendons etc. She is a 6 year old irish sports horse, and was previously at a good level of fitness being hacked 4 times a week and schooled once with some local jumping at the weekends. Was wondering what everyones suggestions were as to a fitness plan on return to work. frustratingly Im a bit apprehensive about going back out on the road with her as Im so worried it will happen again (but of course I will have knee boots on her) Do you think its best to start off out walking on the road or ok to go in the menage?? Thanks.
