Im planning on building a mobile feild shelter for my two yearlings and was wondering what size timbers to use for a 24 x 12.
I will need a base plate staked into the ground with the shelter fixed to this. I was thinking of 3 x 6 for base and top plate then 4x4 for the corner posts and then 3x2 for everything else. shiplap on outside, onduline roofing (sloped to the back not pitched) and chipbord type stuff for the lining.
All the manufactors seem to use 3x2 all round, which seems a bit flimsey to me?
Also what is the min height for the roof? my two will reach 16.2-17.2hh.
Thanks
