Hi everyone my Shetland’s blood readings have gone from 120ish to 2 on ertugliflozin and restricted grazing.
My question is could I return to a more ‘normal’ routine with him now his bloods are within acceptable levels.
He’s currently out 3 hours a day muzzled and on half meds, I’m wondering whether I could increase the turnout to overnight whilst he’s on half meds (muzzled) if I get him retested again after a few weeks.
I’m trying to understand if he can have a better routine now his bloods have significantly dropped - with the caveat that I know he’ll always have to be restricted in some way and will not have access to grass once the spring grass starts coming through.
He is also exercised, farrier and vet very happy with his feet.
