Hi all

I posted at the weekend about being bronced off my horse on Friday and worrying that I really shouldn't carry on with this horse business.... well, really chuffed as had a lesson which went pretty well and even had a canter or two. So starting to feel a little better even though it may be a while before I go any further affield. Anyway, friend took some pics. Note the BP and defensive riding position lol!

Sorry, missed your earlier post. How do you mean "bronced"? Do you mean the pony bucked and you fell off? Pony looks young; young ponies sometimes misbehave; it's up to us to learn how to ride them and train them not to do so.

He spooked, ran and then threw in a series of what I would call bronks, bunny hop then back end up with back arched until I came off. Totally my fault but still knocked my confidence quite a bit- yes he is young. 5 and a half. And I am a bit old for flying through the air, lol! Anyhoo - love him and pleased with how lesson went.

Well done, so pleased for you :) He is cracking looking. You can't beat having some instruction - it just helps immensely with confidence having some advice from the ground. :)

Wel done you - I'm currently trying to "ride through" my baby NF pony's Teenage tantrums and it isn't easy - you don't look anywhere my age but it definitely gets harder as the years roll on!!!! Enough about me - be proud of yourself!!:D

Yes "ride through this" is the term RI used too:) they say the terrible 5's don't they????!!!

Well done.. I have learnt that progress is made up of very small successes and victories:) I share a 5 year old and he's done the same as your boy to his owner and another friend. So far I've been lucky but I think they are running a book on how long before he tries it on with me. I always wear a body protector now and it feels really weird not wearing it. :)
