I think I can safely say that the little git is back on form...

Oh dear! What happened?!

He didn't want to come in for the night, so he waited til my wellies were stuck in the mud,and bogged off back up the field! i have discovered that its impossible to hang on to a disappearing horse when you can't move your feet, and your other horse is spooking at you performing a slow and graceful knee plant!!

My own fault entirely. He normally wears a controller strap on a "just in case" basis. I took two normal headcollars out to the field, and he took full advantage!

I sympathise. Mine have let me trek right up to them in the mud, and then collectively decided that they're not coming in and bogged off spraying me with liquid mud. They have been left to reconsider their ways. No doubt they will turn up in the yard at some point, wanting to go in. I may yet go out, sling a bucket of water at them and run back into the house!

I mean this in entirely a good way, but I've never been happier to see such muddy jods! Glad he's back to his usual cheeky self (and I'm sort of sorry about the mud)

Sorry - had to laugh. Bet you're not angry with him really; can't deny him a bit of a giggle after what he's been through (only the once though!) Tell him if he doesn't behave he'll go back to his S the S name.

I laughed quite a lot - he always looks so cheerful when he's managed to pull off his party trick with me!

I'm so pleased to hear he's back to normal. Could have been worse, I can still make out the colour of your jeans and jacket.....!

You're right! Good old Alf saved me from a full face plant - having a horse who grows to 19hh and turns himself to (snorty) stone when spooked is actually quite useful!

Great Selfie there Auslander.... could start a trend :) Delighted Spike has regained his sense of humour... always the best sign of recovery in a male :)

Epic photo! You gotta laugh at the lad. So, so pleased that he had the spark for a touch of the wickeds, bless him.

Wouldn't life be boring without them? No sleepless nights, no anxious waits for news, no snaffled suppers, no filthy clothes, no value baked beans......

Eeeek!! Bless him (I think...)

May I suggest a rather attractive pair of waterproof overtrousers ? They have saved me many mountains of washing recently :)
