My 6-y-o ISH had a wolf tooth out on Wednesday; the dentist had said it was sharp and pointing forwards so needed to come out and the vet came to do it. He's been eating fine and everything since but today, I saw the hole in his gum was full of slimy chewed food. My thinking is that it probably needs to come out, thinking infection and the hole not healing, so I did try but without much success! The vet didn't say anything about cleaning food out though - what do you think? It is a big hole...
Also, the vet said it should be healed enough for him to have a bit by this Wednesday but it doesn't look like it'll have closed up by then... I'm also hoping the tooth was the cause of his really leaning on me, mainly on the side the tooth was on: the vet did say I should notice a big difference in the way he goes afterwards... has anyone else had experience of anything like this?
Thank you
