I took on a TB mare a couple of months ago and she saw the dentist a couple of weeks ago and he said she had the worst teeth he'd ever seen. Bless her she's never shown signs if a problem and hadnt dropped feed and was maintaining a healthy weight. Anyway dentist came on Wed and vet sedated her and worked on her teeth for an hour. One tooth was so loose and decayed he was able to pull it out with his bare hands. Long story short she's so much happier now and has recovered really quickly and well and I'm so happy for her. She's such a stoic mare I just love her. She's 19 and ex polo and I just adore her. She's a really gentle kind mare and I feel happier now she's obviously feeling better in herself.
My 6 year old daughter cleaned up to tooth and took it to show her class at school lol x

In glad shes better, she'll feel like she has a new lease of life! I can't understand people who don't get teeth checked- we have a girl with elderly pony and she won't get his teeth checked as she doesn't want to 'put him through it' !
