Aghhh, need advice, non horsey!!!!

Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Good luck and keep us informed (not of every detail obviously but just if you're happy - sounds like you deserve some good times!)

When I said I was scared, I didn't mean of him. I meant of making a fool of myself, He's a lovely guy, I've just been out of the dating game a very long time. I have gone for it, and so far so good. Sorry if people took me up wrong.

Crikey, it sounds as if you deserve to be taken out and fussed a bit. Hope it all goes well, let us know.xx

I totally agree with Honey08!

I'd just like to say that when I met my OH (he's a farrier peoples :D) I'd been out of the dating game for about 2 years and was absolutely terrified, I'm also really bad at the whole flirting/asking someone out thing so my opening gambit was (much laughed about by my wonderful best friends ) "would you like a polo.... sorry it's the sugar free ones and they're a bit crap" and something mumbled about trying to find a water bucket that didn't have a hole in the bottom :o
Anyway he's a shy bloke too so it took about a week or two of really really small talk and lots of blushing on both sides before he asked me out, he was going to ask me for my number but I'd scooted off before he had a chance and had to get it from a friend at the yard :o
He invited me out for a drink and we took two of his farrier friends (also really lovely genuine guys who don't cheat/sleep with anything vaguely female - so they aren't all bad at all!) and my sister out with us (you know to help keep convorsation going if it faultered and to help if it turned into a disaster ;)) and it was a great night out!
He had to go to college for a month a week later but we squeezed in 2 more dates before he left :D
When he came back we continued seeing each other and although I was cautious at first (previous terrible relationships + a comment or two about the nature of farriers on HHO) I came to realise that this man really was the genuine article :D
We've been together a year now and I couldn't be happier! We're hoping to move in together soon and have talked a lot about getting married in the future, where we'd like to live etc etc and also having kids! My mum seriously loves this bloke (massive thing in itself ha ha!) and he's been great with my family, my horse loves him and my dog goes absolutely bananas for him :D I've met his parents and pooch 3 times now (they live in england) too and they say he's never felt the way he feels for me before :o
I really hope you've found someone like my OH as they are one in a million guys and if he is he'll treat you better than you've ever been treated, support you and be the love of your life :D
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! :D
