Aghhh!

He just comes in from the field minus a front shoe! He does track up and over track massively even in walk so I don't even know if it just bad luck or him ripping them off when they aren't even loose :(
Possible to always put boots on him?!

Is it at all possible for him to not to wear shoes? Can't be doing his hooves any favours to keep pulling the shoe?

If not over reach boots are the only things I could suggest?

Potentially, I'll speak to my farrier at the next refit time - he's an ex racer but his feet aren't awful, they're pretty good according to my farrier compared to most tbs he sees, but like you said him ripping them off his feet isn't helping :(
He's got quite sensitive socks on his white legs (possible UV reaction) - can anybody recommend any over reach boots that won't rub him raw of he wears them all day?

Just as a suggestion - it may not be the same for you - I had a horse who pulled off about one shoe a fortnight. I got a McTimoney chiropractor in for routine maintenance, she worked on him, said she'd found and treated a problem and he didn't lose another shoe for several years.

He had his back done in October MS, no major problems :(
Farrier said last time his feet were starting to dry up a bit so I've been putting hoof moist on him every few days...
Numpty horse likes costing me money!

Deans is awful for this, overreach boots don't help :( we are trying bare feet and hoof boots at the moment because I can't bear to see him tear up his hooves anymore. He's an ex racer too.

Its taken me ages of feeling the same to work up the courage. They are officially coming off monday but he is currently down to two - victims of the field. He's sore on gravel but happy in the field and happy in boots which has given me the courage to give it a go. Eek.
I really feel your pain. It is unbelievably frustrating.

I found that rubber ones rubbed raw and when neoprene got wet they did too. So I think if you combine the two you may get what you need - I have seen rubber boots with fluffy lining, they look good!
