Excellent day yesterday, although so very hot. Thankful to have a lurcher and not a thick coated dog!
Anyway, first class was jumping and he ran past the second but apart from that (and time) we were clear which is great, the weaves were steady and I had to go backwards but he concentrated and did then and the rest just flowed. Second class was agility, E but contacts and especially seesaw were great, 3rd was jumping again and E again but weaves were great and I can’t remember what we did wrong. All in all great day and I have camper van envy now!
I have a lovely little unaffiliated charity show to go to on Sunday on a rugger field just down the road from home, about a mile. Lovely show in aid of the local dog rescue, fun show classes and lots of stalls too as well as the agility. Hoping we might manage not to get E'd in all 3 classes. This will be my first show running only one dog as my Jesse is now retired. Fingers crossed for a nice day and not too hot/wet/windy.
Sounds like a great day, but yes it was hot wasn't it. My older heeler really doesn't run in warm weather, luckily Ziggy doesn't seem bothered. Pickle, who is 12 tomorrow, won his only class of the weekend, did have time faults but he's allowed that . Ziggy had some lovely runs and the odd E. In one class the little horror left the ring half way round to go to the bucket with his lead and toy in , note to self, from now on they will have to be hidden. Though if the bucket is on the line I suspect he will still go and check it. I spent ages teaching him to run on to his toy, now back to the drawing board.
