I currently train my dog at Happy Dogs in Clapham, but it's getting harder to get there, so I am looking for places closer to me. Can anyone recommend anything close to Jct 12/13 of the M1? Between Bedford/luton area. Thanks

I don't know if it is still running but there used to be a really good agility club in Luton run by John Gilbert, he was one of the "founders" of agility. They used to hold shows in a big park. WIll try and find out more.

ETS Its Bedford All Breeds Training Society, details are on agility net link above. Stockwood Park was the place I was trying to think of where they held the shows.

Yeah I went to find his place (John Gilbert) the other day, but it was just a field with no proper fencing; no good for the coming winter or my runaway dog!!

No offence, but shouldn't heelwork be pretty good before you do agility? Or keep them on a lead if not?

Just asking, it's a stipulation when we do it at our club.
One of mine will stay to heel, the other buggers off so she stays on a lead.

Agree with CC here , I never started agility training until dog was under control off lead, is usually a requirement of clubs. And our club used to train all year outside, in a disused quarry, bloomin cold but you soon got warm running round.
