Mouse has been going for a year now but has only been to one competiton due to me thinking she'd be in season and her being 3 months late! Stanley hasn't been going as long but has his first competition next month at East Midlands Dog Agility Club - can't wait!
 
i did it for years then retired my dog. sadley he has been pts since. but it was great fun and reccomend it to anyone... i will dig out some pictures for you x

Have a look on www.agilitynet.com they have an A-Z list of clubs, there's bound to be one in your area

Obedience!!! LOL my JRT started obedience at 3months and was doing a few tiny jumps and low contact obstacles and tunnels (JRs LOVE tunnels LOL) at 6months but lost interest so I left him until he turned a year and we're back in obedience with the view to going back into agility. You can't compete until they're 18months old.

Mouse on the other hand got straight into it but she was nearly 2yrs old when we started and is far more intelligent than her half brother!

I would strongly recommend clicker training as once you progress onto target training it really helps for hitting contacts at the bottom of obstacles such as the see-saw.

Mouse loves it soooo much that she now gets very vocal going around the course

Stanley enjoys it too but hasn't quite got Mouse's enthsiasm. They both go whappy when the training bag comes out!
 
jj4y : hey I have a 5 month old choc lab!! Just wonderd how you found labs doing this? how did you go about doing it?
We go to a puppy training class, but we are swtiching to a obeidence class on wednesday? thanks helen
