Does anyone use this on its own rather than a 'moody mare' supplement?
Thinking of trying this this year as have heard that it is the main ingredient in mare supplements anyway...interested in any opinions :)

I have used it on my moody mare and whilst it doesn't stop her being a bit grumpy I have found it keeps her a lot more consistent at season time in fact now you can't really tell when she is in season and you certainly could before!

How much do you use? And how do you give it to her? I.e drops in water bucket? Might try it for my mare who is vile in season but I am not putting her back on the regumate this year as i had problems with weight last year.

I buy it in powder form from Pegasus healthcare and she has 3 of the really small scoops (I think it is 5ml so 15ml in total) and just mix it in her feed once a day. She is a very fussy pony and won't eat a lot of supplements but she doesn't seem to mind this one. I have also fed it all year this year because it is so inexpensive £12 worth lasts at least 3 months.

I take Agnus castus as I get bad pmt. It doesnt always stop it but it is more noticable if i dont take it.

I take one tablet a day.

Havent ever had a mare so not sure if it would work similar in horses.

Wld think its a bit hard to get the daily dose down her if you give it in water. Wld have thought mixing in pretend feed wld be better eg chaff..maybe handful of nuts or bit of carrot or similar.
