Hi all,

Having read a few stories on here and some up to date research, I decided to start supplementing my ems/ cushings/ laminitic pony with this.

I have noticed she has lost some weight, and seems abit more perky in herself. Can you give me your stories of your own experiences of using this, along with how much you feed and size of your horse etc? Also have you given horse a break when symptoms improve or have you kept feeding long term?

I feed it to my mare but only as her hormones are all over the place so i dont think it is of any help to you, i would report this in new lounge though, you may get more responce, thats where i put my post on agnus castus when i was thinking of trying it, good luck

Look at this thread you'll find it very interesting

Hope this helps

I tried it for several months with a pony I used to have, who I suspected was early Cushing's (thick coat with delayed shedding, looked like a yak, produced a little milk at odd times even when not in foal, was quite withdrawn).

I'm quite objective about stuff and observed her daily, and over the course of several months I noticed absolutely no difference at all.

I had hoped that it might encourage her to be less withdrawn.

this is an interesting read

http://www.laminitis.org/Vitex trial.html

fed it to our laminitic pony with ems/cushing and it did help with his coat
we fed 15g per day
bought ours from the health shop in whole berries and crushed them with a coffee grinder (worked out cheaper this way) we also supplemented with mag ox from naturalhorsesupplies.co.uk
