My trainer told me today that i need to stop riding so agriculturally and add some finesse to my riding (all i could think about was cereal! lol). I have ridden youngsters for years and they have always been sold on, so never really had the opportunity to add 'finesse' to my riding and as much as a try I don't know how to not be agricultural (does this make any sense?!)
What do you think i should do- any tips, exercises etc
Also I try too hard apparently, i think i am too set in my ways, got a john bowen lesson nxt week, might ask him for advice, but til then HELP!!!!!

You will most likely find that the moment you return to riding a well trained horse that it all comes flooding back! Bit like riding a bicycle - it's all there stored and ready waiting for the moment to unleash itself.

Don't worry about it; there's a time and a place for every type of riding and yes I know exactly what you are saying; riding youngsters almost all of the time is a completely different style, but you don't lose what you know.
