you could try saying would be best suited to competent lightweight adult. I would be tempted to say over 16's only but that may be a little discouraging?

Thank you, I think I might have to put an age although I dont want to seem off putting but I currently have a 12yr pleading with over email how to give her a chance lol
I never thought this would be so hard!!

if they are pleading then just say its not a matter of age it’s a matter of insurance - both yours and your yard owners. its hard enough letting someone ride your horse let alone someone who you are worried wont cope. I rode and broke in many horses for people from the age of about 13 (and before that for a riding school) and I was always trusted and would never have done anything not to be. but I also would have understood if someone said they weren't prepared for me to do it!

Hi..I would advertise for a lightweight, competent adult sharer and maybe say own transport required as that may help point the ad towards an older rider for you?? I shared my Sec.C for a while with a younger rider and that also went very wrong with him going without food for days.

I wouldnt see anyhting wrong with you advertising for someone 16+. Unless someone you know know's of anyone younger but mature fr their age?? Good Luck xx
