I can't find long leather riding boots to fit short fat legs!
I have searched everywhere, ebay, all the tack shops, no luck.
Equitector will make some to fit me but at £225 and I can't afford that much.

Do you think I can show county level in gaiters?

Sorry to hear you have the same problem as I have.
I have a pair of mountain horse and just some gaiters and short boots. Would love a nice pair but liek you I am unable to find any which are just right for me.

Equitectors can go up to a 60cm calf!!.And thats off the peg at £165.Mountain horse boots do a wide but i could only just do the zip up and it cut the blood off at the knee!.

Equitector don't have boots in my size off the self.

If your gaiters match your short boots, then it's ok at County level. Moreso I would imagine then the MH high riders.

MH sportive are less bulky but the MH high calibre are VERY sleek and stylish! I can't wear short boots/gaiters because the tops of the short boots dig into the front of my "ample" shins!

Yes they do match. The gaiters winkle slightly though. But I guess some boots do too.

Thanks Druid, they are both still too long. I have 16" high and 15" wide legs.

Believe me yours aren't hugely wide! Mine are 16" high and 16 1/2 wide (real footballers calves) in a size 6 - I managed to try on Equitectors off the shelf (size 6 wide leg) that fitted beautifully, just saving up to buy them now

I have size 7 feet which tends to make people think you have long legs.
