After washing horse off yesterday after faster work hair was pulling out easily on a patch of his hind leg, it has rubbed raw, about 4cm long and less than one cm wide, there was nothing in his boot so don't know if this has caused it or if its the bandages he wears over night(to stop legs filling up).

What s the best way to treat it? It's a little warm but he is sound.

Have a comp tomorrow and eventing next weekend.

Just sj tomorrow, shall I leave that leg bootless?
Would a bandage make it worse?
Tubi grip under a boot?

First time it has happened to him, hope its not too sore

Thanks :)

Gently clean with salt water and leave to open air. Once abrasion dry, ie tomorrow put tubular bandage over leg and then boots. Ladies tights are also good helps prevent rubbing
