Hi following on from my previous post, I can buy the above saddle which is 6 months old and looks like new, a new bridle & martingale plus 6 or 7 rugs for about £500.
My question is would this saddle be O.K for general riding, it felt really comfy this morning and the extra padding in the rolls made me feel more secure.

That is a good deal. The saddle alone costs around £900 new to buy.
I use my one for hacking and jumping and love it. There is nothing to stop you schooling in one either but if you are fairly serious about your flatwork it wouldn't be ideal.

I used to hack in one, for an Albion it was quite nice (I don't get on with Albions). Certainly worth more than £500, my friend paid £850 for her's brand new!
Edited because my grammar is awful today!

thanks, I'm not that serious about schooling, i will have a lesson once a week so it should be fine.

I had one and I used to compete in all disciplines in it. For a jumping saddle its not overly forward cut so i'm sure you won't have a problem. I loved my saddle, its just a shame its didn't fit my new ned!!
