Thinking of buying an Albion Kontact Lite as i've found one second-hand online that should fit my boy...

I want it for SJ not eventing. Just wondered has anyone ridden in one, and can you share your thoughts? Are they comfy etc?

My horse is a big shouldered 16.3 WB, and I'm a slim 5'6.

thanks guys

I was a bit of an Albion groupie (still am a bit even though I don't currently own one), however the Lite really didn't suit me, I found the stirrup leathers where in the wrong place for me and rubbed my knees when trotting and cantering out the saddle, that's said I hunt so don't ride jumping short (though I would say I ride shorter than conventional hacking length). I never had this problem with the KP jump, which used to be my saddle of choice. Now I go custom made as it's cheaper. I'm 5'8 slim, horse was 17 wide withered WB, the saddle suited him, as much as any saddle could with his withers.

I loved riding in my friends one but when I tried to fit this onto my horse at the time, it didn't work. He was a 16.2 ISH with a deep girth and the saddle looked like a pea on a pod. Friends horse was a 16.2 WB but narrower. I previously had to go back to an Albion K2 jump as it was the only saddle I could find which would fit a horse with a big shoulder... and I wanted the lite at the time!

Had one and loved it, only sold it as didn't fit new horse. Suited me as I have a long thigh bone so my knees didn't hang over the front of the saddle.
