Hi all,
After having a saddler out who suggested MW Ideal and Albion saddles for their shape I currently have this K2 Jump on trial. Up to now I've been riding in a Kieffer dressage and also a Bates GP.
Interested to hear your opinions on the fit of the K2 as it is so different to my others and wonder if I'm over analysing the fit.
I can exchange it for an Ideal GP for the same price but I can only afford to have one out on trial at a time (having to pay each full saddle price to have on trial) so wonder if its worth having the saddler look at this one at all or is it a definite 'no' and get them to look at the ideal GP which I can swap and trial instead?
My main thought was that whilst it has lovely front (head on) panel clearance for the shoulder the way it sits as I slide my hand down top to bottom it gets more snug towards the bottom. Does this mean it too narrow a fitment or is this correct?
My only other thought really was the length a 17.5" which is the max my horse can have as quite short back with regards to ribs.
Appears to sit level and i felt level sat in it, the panels front to back felt the same pressure all along and plenty of gullet clearance and width.
Thank you
