Can alcohol effect dogs?
Dad has just knocked about half a shot of vodka into the dogs water bowl seconds before the dog drank some. Now dog didn't seem to taste it so I'm hoping it was such a small amount it won't effect her.
Will be keeping a close eye on the dog.
Dog is a deerhound x so is a large dog.
Water has now been changed.

Not that amount, I shouldn't think. I put a whole can of Guinness in my old dog's meal at the vets suggestion to help her get over an operation and she did seem a bit groggy!

She should be fine!! Love the piccy of her upside down in the chair!! I used to give my old spaniel half a pint of caffreys/guiness when we had been on big long walks (especially when we were in Skye) and she loved it!!

If she starts throwing her paws around you and slurring how much she loves you then it's probably not too good for her!!
