Just a bit of a heads up, as someone previously posted Aldi have riding gear jodphurs etc on sale today, and the Mirror newspaper has a voucher £5 off Aldi today if you spend over £45 just to help pennies go a little further ! I hope there are some jodphurs left at 5pm tonight !

I dont have an Aldi near me, but my nana called earlier this week to say she'd seen the gear advertised and would go down today for me.

She got me a couple of joddies and a tshirt last time for xmas. They're my favourite, so comfy and i wear them all the time.

Just got back so too late for the voucher.

I got 2 pairs Jods nice and light for summer and the 30 fitted the same as my other brands
Tub trug
Gilet Nice and light but not very generous round the bust. It's OK as I wear summer ones open
Bulldozer broom as they still had some.

I went this morning before work,

I got a tub trug, 2 lots of socks, 3 of their stretchy tops, 2 pairs of jodphurs. I was pretty happy with my loot :)

I didn't try the yard boots, they looked OK though I would wonder how long they would last but it was so hot I couldn't get enthusiastic about anything that warm and padded looking.

Just nipped across the road and treated myself to some jods - they don't look too bad, and for £12 worth a shot! Got some riding socks too.

Tbh the yard boots didn't look all that great so vetoed the decision to get some.

Just nipped into my local and i am most gutted!!!! My current one and only pair of jods were from Aldi last year and finally after riding in them everyday have given up the ghost so i thought great i'll go get some more..... navy and PINK really??? I dont do pink evvvver and i also refuse to wear beige at home so i came home with just a lightweight top in blue! *sigh* back to searching online for cheap jods in a dark colour as i refuse to pay the £30 odd quid from the saddlers.... unless its competition wear of course!

Sooo....... "Arniebear" - basically what they've got sounds like a repeat of what they did last time they did Equestrian then??? I got a navy/pink trimmed top and a beige/pink trimmed top (plus an adjustable riding hat which has been a godsend :)) - but it sounds like this is just a rehash of the stuff they did before???

If so, how very disappointing! But someone, somewhere, will think they've got a bargain doubtless, so they'll be happy enough.

I'm a first time Aldi shopper and thought the jodphurs were good quality for £12.00 ! I'm with you on the pink monkey bottom LOL ! but at £12 who cares ! also got two navy pink polo tops for £8. I hope no one saw me trying my jodphurs on in the car LOL

I got some brown/khaki ish jodhs, pink ad cream polo shirt, some sock and 2 tub trugs. Everything feels very comfy and I haven't bought new jodhs in years so I'm pretty happy. Tub trugs were a bargain :)

Drat, just seen this now! Will have to try and get to one tomorrow to see if any jods left as they fit me perfectly and been really pleased with the last pair I got in the winter.

The lightweight tops are smashing! I got an aqua one and will go back for the pink one tomorrow. Socks are great too, for once they're stretchy and long enough to reach just below the knee on long chunky legs. And they have padded soles. I don't like the black striped ones though, they have a motif that pulls the socks too tight and it digs in. I'll be getting more of the pink/grey ones though.

I got a gilet, long sleeve top and socks. Most of it was a bit pink for me. I have had the muckers before though and they were brilliant didn't buy a pair though as I already have a spare pair.

Decided against the jodhs as decathlon are better fitting and better colours and only 2 quid more.

Darn it, I have missed out, presumably. Just seen this. But then I am having terrible trouble getting into H&H site on this stupid iPad.

Honestly we went late on to a really horsey area and tons left. Mum had technical sweater, tub trugs (3), yard boots and a gilet. I loads of stuff from last time!

Ignore what I said about the sizing on the gilets not being generous, was just putting it away and realised I have a size Small though in packet that said Large. Given that it's quite generous and I'm not surprised it wouldn't do up across my D cup.

I have bought jodphurs from there before, cheap and cheerful but they've lasted me a couple of years, so cannot complain! Also bought a t-shirt and socks, again cheap and has done me well, as has my neck warmer which cost me a whole £2 each!!

My mum also picked me up a pair of trousers and a top as a stocking filler last christmas, which is meant to help insulate heat in the winter- haven't used them yet though as it was such a mild winter! but for a few quid, any extra layer is helpful!

After seeing this thread, we went straight over to Aldi... my last jods from there are still going strong a year on !

I bought four pairs, three beige and one "PINK" and blue !! They are 95% cotton, and should keep me cooler than my black Gallop ones. Cheaper than ebay (and much better quality).

I highly recommend the 'performance tops'
Lovely soft material , mesh sides & back so cooler to ride in in this weather
I dont like things round my neck but wear mine with the zip undone & collar turned down
Bought the pink one & liked it so much went back for a blue one
They also wash well
