Well I'm pretty bored so I decided to type up a report of day 1+2 on my blackberry this evening.

Day 1)
We left around 11am, stopped at Sedgemoor services for a meal :) and arrived at Aldon for approx 3pm. Very good, seeing as without a stop it was meant to take about 4 hours! Made up a lot of time!!! We settled him in, and let him relax for an hour before taking him for a stretch and do some canter figures of 8 (one on correct lead, and one counter canter) which tires him out as when we loaded him at home he was doing bunny hops around his stable!!! Bit fit and lively ;) and he went well so popped him away in his stables after walking him around car park to cool off (and MANY admiring glances and compliments!) :D popped him back in his stable and had a mooch around, went back to skip out and feed him and went off to walk xc course. Got to fence 11 and it started to get dark by fence 14 it was pitch
black. Fun times! Finished walking course in dark but couldn't find fence 17a and b. Oh well. Its thursday and not doing xc until sunday! Cooked some tea (chicken curry!) And went to bed early knackered!

Day 2. Dressage day!! :O

Fed rem at a delightful 7am, still pretty dark! And fed ourselves. Took him for a gentle stretch around car park and decided to work him in dressage warm up area, worked on leg yield and more counter canter as v lively! Had a tiny lunch, and started pampering and polishing ready to dressage at 2.52pm. Got into my top and tails courtesy of Kerilli (you are an absolute star! Near enough everyone in cic* and cci* even Mary King wore t+tails!) Worked him in, and went in.

Our first movement after saluting and turning left was medium trot across hxf.. Bloody boy broke into canter. Definitely due to me being v nervous and him being naughty because I was nervous. So got my act Together and completed a lovely test. I thought woooo I finished, and didn't go wrong!!! :D :D took a few more photos, hehe. And untacked, fed and put him into his stable and went off to walk xc again. We managed to find fence 17 this time.. Hehe. And after this walking of course, I felt I could do it, and it wasn't as scary as night before! The fences which are big, aren't very wide *phew* I am on a 15hher :)

Mooched to local pub after feeding and rugging rem. And had a fabulous meal, pan fried chicken wrapped in parma ham with grated mozrella (sp!!) Mooched home and went to.. zzzzzzzz.

Day 3 now, report later. Sj now arghhhhhh!!

:) xx

sounds good so far, looking forward to seeing photos, hope sj went well.
the tophat and tails always feel very nice to ride in imho, make one feel proud and sit up more, maybe it's just me. anyway, wouldn't want you to be the only one not wearing them! they're getting quite a few outings this year courtesy of HHOers, good stuff.
next report please... we're waiting...

Sorry. For the late update.

We went to our trot up yesterday, passed! :)

Put him away for a few hours, before getting him ready. Mum got him from stable and it started pissing it down and thundering!! :O stopped raining so got on and warmed up in a horrendously slippy arena, didn't jump him much as it was so awful. Took him in, jumped 123 lovely, slipped into fence four so jumped off all fours and landed on all fours other side very unsettled. Cantered into fence 5, and slipped taking off so put down again and crashes through which unsettled him more. They rang the bell when they'd rebuilt it, and we came round and cat lept it and jumped fence 6 and slipped at 7 and refused. He just wasn't happy with the ground and the more he slipped the more he upset himself as he likes to jump carefully so he upsets himself jumping badly. So we were eliminated :( BUT there's always another day, and my dad doesn't want to sell him anymore, and says we may keep him for another season :D :D so fingers crossed!

xx

Oh no what a shame, by the look of the interim results the sj caused quite a bit of carnage. One of mine is there with my trainer and he had a cricket score sj, v.unlike him!

Good news that you get another season with him!!!

we were there breifly yesterday and i saw SO many horss just go through fences cause it was so slippy, so i wouldnt worry. Well done on the dressage, what score did you get? :)

I got a 59.1 dressage score, one judge gave me a 2 for my lack of medium trot, one gave me a 6 (how she thought it merited a 6 I have NO idea!!!) We didn't even trot! Haha.

There were only 3 clears sj, and a few on 4 with loads on 12+. The ground was chuffing lovely today! What a p*ss take :( oh well.

I'm going to aim for some early cic*'s next year, maybe even a cci* :O and with my 5yo I think I'm going to aim for the BE100 3day at Aldon, so is my dad with his eventer.
I'm v excited for next season already. On m5 on way home.. Will update with photos later!

I need to pack, as I have to be at Birmingham Airport at 6am tomorrow :D YAYYY a holiday!

Right I need to save my battery on my phone.

:) xx
