Ive never feed the above but ive been told to feed it instead of sugar beet to try and get more condition on the horses.
Does anyone else feed it? Can you soak it over night like sugar beet or do you have to hot soak 15 min before feeding? and its ok to add with normal SB until i swap over ? thanks x

I feed AlfaBeet and have found it very good. It takes 2 hours to soak in cold water but you can leave it overnight if you prefer. They say it soaks in 15mins in hot water, but I've found that to be a little optimistic!

I've definitely found it helps keep condition on my oldies - but for extra calories try adding a source of oil as well.

I feed it - works really well on putting on and keeping weight on my WB who is terrible for losing weight over the winter

It doesn't heat him up at all either.

You only need to soak it for a couple of hours in cold water but I normally leave it overnight and they say it takes 15min with hot water although I have never tried this.

I usually put it in cold water while I wait for the kettle to boil and then add the hot water once boiled and it is easily ready in 10/15 mins.

I feed it to my 2.

They both look fab on it. Keeps the weight in without fizzing up sharp mare.

I have also found 15mins a little optimistic so i just leave it a little longer.
I start putting hot water from the tap in whilst waiting for the kettle which seems to speed it up a little.
I do sometimes leave overnight with cold water.

I used Alfa-Beet for my last lot of youngsters during winter. Soaked it over night in cold water before using. It was fine doing that. Added it to their stud mix. They all loved it and ate up really well. Even the more fussy ones. I really liked it.
