Does anyone use this? do you/ your horse like it?

Im thinking of getting some for my boy to help him put condition on, he loves speedibeet but no one else gets it and as storage is a premium my friend is wanting to try the alfa beet and I actually thought it might suit my boy better.

He is currently on:

4kg conditioning cubes
feed balancer
hi fi lite
garlic/linseed oil

Sorry if this is a silly question but was wondering why you feed hi-fi lite if you're looking to put more condition on him?

Its just chaff recommended in the feedplan from TopSpec to stop him rushing his conditioning cubes.

I dont know its just what Topspec sent me on the feeding plan, and I also have half a bag of it left from previous horse which is an added bonus.

On the Topspec website it says 'Optional alfalfa/grass chaff' so I imagine giving him something like Alfa A would be more beneficial if you're trying to put weight on. Haven't heard about the Alfa Beet though.

My horses are on Alpha Beet, they eat it all, so must like it!
Also on Apha oil chaff and a special formula pasture mix.
Hasn't hotted them up (or is it het up? or heated? )
they all make orderly queue for dinner!

Yeah thats what I thought but the Topspec lady said hi fi lite and as i already had it Im using it, its only chaff afterall and his conditioning cubes and feed balancer are the main thing, I thought of the alfa beet because he likes the speedi beet but the alfa would be more conditioning i imagine and we actually have room for it!

My mare loves it as did my elderly gelding. Both have been fed Alpha beet due to being laminitic. It really helped me to maintain condition on the old boy. He needed extra condition but his metabolism had gone haywire .The Alpha beet was about the only feed I could give him other than hay and high fibre cubes which did not trigger his laminitis. Dengie have changed the formulation slightly recently and it is now "quick soak" similar to Speedi-beet. I always soak for several hours though, out of habit.I recommend it without hesitation.
