Has any one used this stallion? Or have/know any of his progeny? Does he throw big foals (he's only 16.2hh), by that I mean both at birth and maturity. Any one know of anything out of a non RID or ID mare? Thanks

I have an RID mare by him. Her Mum was 16hh, and Surprise is barely 16.1 (aged 6). I also had a 16hh RID mare here to foal last year with a foal by him. She was an old maiden, and the foal was quite small and slipped out easily - so on that experience I'd say that he doesn't throw exceptionally big foals

A friend of ours had a foal by him this year, she foaled very easily and the foal wasn't overly large. There is some cracking youngstock about by him.

Foaled a big TB mare to him a few years ago and the foal was tiny ,much smaller than the foal out of a 15 hand PBA mare that foaled at the same time

Saw him a few years ago. I seem to remember he had very flat feet.
