Ok, so after much consideration, last night Billy went bald!! He seems happy being bald, he did have a blanket clip but now he doesn't
When I was clipping him, he's good as gold tbh, but when i was clipping behind his shoulder muscle up near his spine he really dipped - as a cold backed horse would, do you think that this could indicate pain or just a reaction to the vibration of the clippers? Its the area where the saddle patch would be (i was doing it in the dark though so didnt bother having one!)
His saddle was fitted and should be fine so wouldnt have thought it is causing any issues, I did lunge him long and low prior to clipping so could this of been anything to do with it?
Or is it just a sensitive patch? He was the same on both sides and dipped worse when i zoomed over with withers but i can understand that as its vibrating on his bone! x He's fine to be groomed, barebacked, etc in that area and doesnt pull a face having his saddle on x
