Yep same thing has happened to me. Borrowed a friend's pelham 2 weeks ago and haven't looked back.

My mare is snaffle mouthed for schooling and walking and trotting out but her enthusiasm gets the better of her sometimes and occasionally we lose our brakes but not now! It's great - had some fab hacks since (and yay slow canters in an outline)!

well,getting some attitude about me using a pelham,all along the lines of i should school him etc etc etc.

well, he schools in a french link,no problems at all!

he was hunted by a big farmer in a pelham because they couldnt stop him so what hope do i have in a snaffle

anyway, my horse is happy,i am happy so we will be sticking to the pelham thank you very much
