i love it id have it id have it put on a sighn if it wasnt so bloody long

good doer - pushs all the other horses away to get all the food

:D sad but true (and funny)

I've another one: Very quiet = has a virus, and once he's better you won't be able to sit on him (can't tell you how many times I've seen this happen)

Oh, and "will make great family pet" = cos you'll never be able to do anything else with it.

I particularly like the Fun for all the Family one :D

Brilliant - thank you!

Some others:
Has competed Novice and Elementary - technically, entered the arena. What happened thereafter is best forgotten.

For sale through no fault of his own - he's an evil b*strd, but then so were both sets of parents, so it's in the genes

Will go far with the right jockey - one that doesn't experience pain

Also, what's the deal with people advertising really old horses for sale, but then putting the word 'young' after the age??? As in 'For Sale. Mare. 21 years young.'
WTF??? 21 years is 21 years. Selling an old horse is morally suspect anyway. Trying to pretend it is less morally suspect by alluding to the fact that there's some more life that can be wrung out of it by a new owner is just pathetic.

I've spent the best part of a year looking for ponies for my girls and this is all very very true.

We bought a '21 years young pony',she is now superfit and has taught my girls loads.I will never sell her though-if she was unable to be ridden tomorrow, she would have more than earnt her retirement.:)
