I've been working as a working pupil for 6 months now, and am looking for a new placement (not getting what I want out of where I am), and am on trial at another but...

once again, no winter t/o and only a couple of hours in summer. I don't want my horse in anymore! (well I want him in at night, out in the day).

Reaslitically, am I going to find a working pupil placement at an event yard where my horse can be turned out all year? Besides that, this job seems pretty good, loads of lessons and travel to competitions ect, but I'm so sick of him being in, I can't bear to do it to him anymore.

I don't blame you!

I thought most eventers were turned away for the winter..or maybe that's just once they get to a certain level?

Anyway, good luck. Hope you find somewhere both of you like.

Can't answer your question but I feel your pain!! Mines been in since Oct and its driving me mad. Iv looked at numerous yards and NONE have winter TO, so iv settled for a yard with lights and TO into the arena. HATE it!!

Ugh its really frustrating.

I want this job, but not without turnout - but then if I won't be able to find a yard WITH turnout, I don't want to turn down this oppertunity.
