I thought Mary McCann stood him herself - she did when he was Jumping as he stood at her stud, Hartwell in Kill, Co Kildare when I was based at a yard just down the road and used to meet Trevor Coyle at shows he really was Mary's baby (this was a good few years ago mind you!) I would suggest contacting her direct, her details are on the link.
i have heard of him just never looked him up. i have just heard he is top stallion just know his name want to learn everything on him. thanks for answers
great photo thanks, he looks brilliant for 25.
My auntie owned a horse by cruising called George which had an amazing jump! He jumped about 5 foot 6" from pretty much a stand still right in front of me with a rider on his back with plenty of room to spare
Be warned - many of his offspring, as well as being talented jumpers, are QUIRKY!!
His dam is reputed to have been a difficult lady, maybe it comes down the line from her.
I have a lovely little mare by Del Cruising and have found this thread interesting. She was a little tricky to break in but has been very good on we ironed out a few issues.
Ive been told Cruising horses all of a sudden 'switch on' has any one found this?
Mine is super to do but like a little PC pony to ride rather than an event horse!!
Our two are Grandsons of Cruising. Both were extremely easy to break and very quiet to handle. io's only quirk is he shakes when being clipped, newly broken Harry feels like the handbrake is jammed on except when we are hunting. Both have enormous scopey jumps and pull horrible faces at food time
hand break jammed on, we say Lilly cant get out of 3rd gear!! I would have loved Lilly to go hunting this winter but Ive had a knee op so she has been turned away. Hoping she will chat to her field friend a super event mare who will explain what gallop it!!!
