Looks like you have got better grazing than most of us, all grass has got snow all over it, all snow has frozen over and over again these past couple of nights.
Don't get me wrong, there is a heavy frost in the mornings and the ground is hard in the rutted areas. The bulk of the field, given it's size and grass cover, is fine though. Nice and springy under foot.
I have ice on the yard, so it's not completely a winter free zone.
I am hankering for proper snow though. We have no cloud cover so the grass soon greens up when the sun rises.
My poor horses haven't had proper grass for about 2 weeks!! It's either frosted or at the moment, under 2 inches of snow!!
My poor guys totally sick of haylage now and knackered with the cold. -7 outside at the mo and not looking like we are gonna get grass for at least another week!!
I'm jealous! I'm so sick of the snow! The school is hard enough to snap ankles and the fields are still completely covered. Freddie hasn't been ridden or turned out since last Wednesday! I'm NOT looking forward to getting back on!
I'll have to take a pic of my grass tomorrow. We havent had much snow but the ground is frozen and rutted so I put Tia in the longer section of her paddock that I was hoping to save till Jan. She looked so happy and didnt know where to start munching first! Tonight its been raining/sleeting so i'm hoping the ground is going to soften... and arena!

You have the best grass i've seen in a long time, even before the snow!
We have over half a foot now, no signs of going. I'm bored of it now, i want to ride again!!! Our snow is still mega fluffy though, at least it's not frozen yet.
Ponies have been turfed out with a bale of lovely rich haylage and some nice thick rugs (poncy arabs) and are happy enough.
humph! we never get snow here (Jersey), well not proper snow! we had 3 flakes last friday & the island skidded to a halt until about 3pm then it all went again. :-( i used to build miniture snowmen out of hail when i was a child. V Jealous!
