Not sure anyone is interested but further to my post on Monday about my 'interesting' clear round experience last weekend I am off out again this weekend to provide the Royal County of Berkshire with some more entertainment.

Fatty and I are going to tackle a bit of indoor jumping. Have her in a full cheek Waterford now so hoping I might have some semblance of control. Had a good lesson on Wednesday with only one stop so you never know we might make it to fence two!??

Will gladly provide no doubt embarrassing update on Monday.

So if you see a girl on a very fat large grey having a few problems even getting in the indoor school let alone over the first jump feel free to say hi! You will know it is me I tend to get out of breath very quickly and there will be extensive swearing throughout the (short) round so keep the kids away!

And please dont shout 'thats the girl who fell off in the warm up' in a really loud voice as I enter - last time it echoed around the arena and I think everyone as far away as Scotland heard you, and I humiliate myself enough without the crowd joining in too :)

Good luck!! I totally feel your pain, my worst memory is taking my new eventer (been to BE90 regional finals, lots of BE100 clears with previous rider) to a clear round cross country day and warning them we might take a while...

Ten minutes later I was still parked in the second field, not moving, having decided to try the ol' 'don't fight, wait till he gets bored' trick, which wasn't working, and eventually got round by following a child on a pony. Mum heard the arena steward say 'She said she'd take a long time, didn't realise she meant THIS long...!' The shame... And I HATE the people who stand there shouting 'kick it, hit it!' but that's a different story...

Oh good luck, you are brave to go out again so soon! Hope the new braking system helps and look forward to a full report!
