right , i have a horse who is a total lad back chap in the field & school but as soon as you bring him into the yard or stable he goes mad, he can be very spooky while out hacking which is not the problem but i would love for him to just relax a bit more when i am trying to groom/rug/tack etc.

looking for a good calmer for him

Our mare has been on Dodson and Horrell Placid without any improvement (though it did noticably help another mare on the yard) and is now on Nupafeed (at £90 - ouch!) which has made not one iota of difference. I'd def try to cheaper ones before spending the sort of money I did... Good luck

Equine herbals V- Calm.

It works on one of mine for clipping issues, but contains Valerian so isn't competition legal. They also do one without Valerian which is supposed to be very good as well
PM me for more details if you want them.

we put on of ours on to allan and page calm and condition, he is a stallion and in ridden work and has really calmed down loads, like a different pony used to be really excitable

Try Wendals herbs, Special Calmer or their ordinary Calmer. Both contain Valerian though, so should not be used if you are competing. They are pretty inexpensive. I am guessing that you are already feeding a cereal and sugar free diet? Spillers Hors & Pony cubes now contain magnesium, which acts as a calmer.

Just put my youngster on Equimins Serenity as we are mvoing house soon and he has never been loaded or lived anywhere else. It comes with a money back guarantee so I'm confident!
