All weather/ sand gallops to hire near Oxford

Hi,

Does anyone know of any all weather gallops available to hire within an hour drive of Oxford (OX33)?

I used to use some really nice ones in East Ilsley (Hughie Morrisons) but I think it might be limited now. There are also some in Wantage (can't remember the name but can find out), and Pangbourne (Goddards) although I didn't like the going there the last time I went.

If you need someone to gallop with I would always be up for it, I am based just outside Wallingford.

I agree - Hughie Morrisons ones are lovely (uphill and great surface, well maintained) - we have used them quite a bit - look on his website and there is a video of his horses using them.

We live just round the corner from Goddards, and they are useful for doing a bit of work when the ground is hard, but I wouldnt travel far to them (we can hack there in 5 munites so worth it for us...). The surface is a bit variable, and parts of the track (downhill past his yard) you have to walk around

Crown Farm, Ascott Under Wychwood, where they have the BE events, have an uphill, all weather gallops

Try Russell Farm Cobblershill, its just off the A413 the other side of Aylesbury, Its about 25 miles from OX33
