I have just moved to a new yard of my own. Does anyone know where I can get wheel barrow, stable folks, ect for cheap.

Please help. x

The local auction site has often got stuff, but at your new yard there may be bits and pieces to keep you going.
B&Q or Homebase have barrows, £20, or Jewson for good ones at £40., you can get a little brush from local [ethnic] hardware type store, but shavings forks are specialised and will be found at saddlers/feedstore,

I wouldn't go neccesarily for CHEAP but look at value for money... not necessarily the same thing.

As above I swear by DIY / Builders stores for wheelbarrows and even brooms - you want decent handles and tough, long flicky bristles... the ones you find at horsey shops tend to be a bit pathetic. As for the wheelbarrows... again the horsey plastic ones tend to bend and fall apart and are rubbish for carrying large quanitities of anything... I can get 4 bales of hay on my metal builders one without it bending / falling over.

Shavings fork wise - invest in a fynalite one. they're great and for a normal fork, definately head to your horsey store - they will have lightweight but durable ones and they are worth the money you pay. Also invest in a LARGE plastic shovel. not the small pathetic ones that you can barely get half a dropping on...

Aldi specials are very good they are doing various builders stuff ATM like tub trugs, buckets, rubber gloves and yard brooms (although I found this one a bit heavy). Best yard broom I ever had came from Lidl, £4!
