i had one out last year and i found her very good, she said unlike chiros(not had a chiro out before) they didnt force anything back into plce, they relax the muscle and then gentlykind of push whatever back, and it seemed like it worked well, actually going to have her come out again when iv got new saddles!

I go to see one for myself.. i think they are good, but they wont sort the problem out all together.. ie i have to see mine every 6 months ish! Also, the problem wont go away straight away, i'll still be stiff/sore about 2 days after, then i'll suddenly realise that i'm not hurting anymore

hmmmmm yep i just think there is a real underlying problem that can be sorted out -it may be a niggle or something a little more sinister- but a vet cant sort it out anymore it has to be someone slightly more specialist

I have a chiropractor that just comes n does my horse every 6 months. She is really good and first came out because my horse had problems with his pelvis and back. Although shes really busy when she does come she takes her time. If you want her number just let me know. Her names rosanne if you've already heard of her, and i think she lives in horsham or sumthing like that.

Hi, I can`t find the post that you are wanting us to look at so I will tell you about my chiro on here. I have a lady come out regularly to my horse who is a McTimoney chiropractor and also an Equine Massager and a physio. She manipulates the skeletal bits and also massages the muscles that causes the need for skeletal manipulation and if there is a deep problem, then she has a lazer and equissage for deeper penetration. I have had good results with her and I have her out to MOT Rox every couple of months. This makes sure that we get to a niggle before it turns into something worse. I would definately get a chiro/massager out as one compliments the other but I have found that a chiro without the massager, doesn`t work so well on my horse IMO.
My horse is a little long in the back and so nearly every visit we have to have a slight manipultion around the pelvis and a good deep massage around the gluteals and behind the saddle area.
Hope this helps.
