Some friends live near Insch and I`d gone to visit. I was in Costcutters and an older guy who was stood next to me with his mate said something in a broad accent that I didn`t understand so I said sorry and he repeated it but I still didn`t understand. He said something about `ya ken? Which I did get but at the grand old age of nearly fifty, I blushed the deepest shade of red which they thought was really funny!

Forres when I was tiny, Elgin when I was 10/11 - Dad was in the RAF so we've moved a lot lol.

It was a very long time ago (the train still stopped at Kennethmont station) but I remember it vividly. We lived in the cottages by the station and everybody was so friendly. The highlight of the week was going to Huntly for the messages!

I'm from Newmachar, almost in the sticks but not quite! Oh is from Forres. I cant evenunderstand what they say sometimes........they have a special language they call Ork............its weird when a fellow Ork calles out Souuwwwwwwww in the street and folk reply.

I am from Forres and I would just like to say neither myself, nor any member of my family, speak Ork. In fact I have never heard of it (outside middle earth that is)
