Does anyone use veteran vitality by allen and page, if so do you find it useful for weight gain?
And what about calm and condition by allen and page does it put weight and condition on or does it send some horses loopy like I've heard?

I usually lurk, tried searching but can't quite find what I'm looking for. :o

I have recently changed my boy over onto Veteran Vitality and have been really impressed with it, he isn't a veteran but has very special needs  He has gone from a poor doer to a too good doer and have cut right back on it.

Can't comment on C&C I didn't use it as was worried it would send him loopy.

I have my Warmblood on their calm and condition. He was underweight and not in great condition when I first got him and after feeding him this twice a day he soon improved a great deal! However, he isn't the calmest of horses and I'm unsure whether this feed affects that because I've never tried anything else.... if anyone knows an equivilent that doesn't make them loopy please do tell me! :)

I use Calm and Condition on my 16.2 eventer broodmare and her 2 year old daughter. Both are nearly full TB.They have about 4lbs day each in total split between 2 feeds. They look fantastic on it and their temperaments are calm. Both live out full time -even in this snow- with ad lib haylage. It is fibre based which is why I chose it and makes a lovely mash when soaked with warm water.I make it particularly sloppy in the coild weather to help with hydrating them.

I feed my Arab C&C. He has a beautiful coat, is bright eyed & bushy-tailed & seems to be keeping weight on. He has about 2lb/day. Don't think it makes him loopy, he's naturally very bright & forward going, but good to handle in the stable etc.

I've recently started feeding veteran vitality pellets to my 25yr old wb x tb. He was starting to drop a bit of weight but he's started to gain some of it again after just over a week feeding it. I know the place i get it from has had a lot of good feedback about it too.
