Allen & Page Feeds

We have been using Calm & Condition and Fast Fibre for over 18 months now and until very recently have been delighted with the results. Over the past couple of weeks one horse has completely 'gone off' FF and another has become rather fizzy on C&C, both are out all day and the grass quality has not changed, they have had the same hay too. I seem to remember somebody on here saying that they had felt that the feed varied causing some issues.

About a year ago we had a hiccup with another horse fed C&C because he ran up a bit light when very fit, Allen & Page said that that had adjusted the formulation as others had reported the same type of problem.

Any views or suggestions?

Are you sure it's the feed? Are they mares? My mare has gone both fizzy and not bothered about her feed this week, but is in rampant season due to the warm weather. Could this behaviour be down to something else?

All of our horses are now on Allen and Page. Mine is on Veteran Vitality, we have one of C&C and another on FF and I havent noticed any change in them!

however now you mention it, another horse on the yard has C&C but has fibre cubes and alpha a added to it as he needs more fibre in his diet and owners mum mentioned to me the other day he wasn't finishing it, so she just reduced the amount she was giving him and he ate that with no problems! but its an interesting post!
