Just wondering on alternatives to this or thoughts?
I find this is suitable to my 2yo, as she needed to come off youngstock mix this month, her temperament is still lovely on this, but I would say she is carrying a little too much weight. All though that may be the grass as all she gets is 1/4 of a scoop a day.

My ex racer is still a little under with the condition scoring. She is also on this, but as it suited horses in work, I decided it would suit the two of my horses.

Would you recommend something different? Or do you use and rate the hacking mix?

I would ditch the mix for both

I would recommend just haylage/hay & grass for your 2yr old, especially if she is overweight. Just give her a mineral lick.

Same for your other horse, but i would also feed something like fast fibre & micronised linseed for condition.

I'm not a fan of most comercial mixes, they tend to be packed with extra sugars that just aren't needed. :)

I LOVE Allen and Page feeds can't rate them highly enough. I use ride and relax on my 8yo Anglo he holds his weight nicely but he he isn't over weight. My 33yo is on Veteran Vitality - which you prob don't need yet:D Fast fibre is great and would prob be good for your young un, prob need a bit more conditioner for your TB, try Calm and Condition and add a GP supplement to both. Better still, give A&P a call and let them suggest - they're really helpful and you get freebies:D

 Please don't ring feed companies, they'll try and sell you their most expensive products that your horses won't need - just look at the 'What oil?' thread!

They're never going to advise good old Dr Green & hay - not in their interests!

Personally I disagree I listen to their advise and take it or leave it, Ive always found them very helpful.
