Brought this today to try.. Anybody fed if so what happened (if anything!) This is the horse;

7 years
Welsh D
Mare
Usually very frisky
Newly clipped :P

Im worried she may fry her brain more on it lol especially as i can get two countrywide pony nuts for one bag of this. We are feeding 1 stubbs scoop once a day, if i see a difference then may give more as it gets colder

I used it a few years ago on a really mareish mare. Didn't notice any difference what so ever, she was still bad tempered. In the end i just used fast fibre and chaff with a few pony nuts in her ball to keep her going.

Why have you changed feeds, and what difference do you expect it to make to her? It is a maintenance food rather than a conditioner, if your aim is to put weight on it probably won't do the trick. It is barley free so I guess you're avoiding that for a reason?

:-) The omission of the barley is the key. I haven't checked the website details for R&R but for Calm & C the blurb always did say that the feed wouldn't make the horse more excitable than it already was, ie if it's just the nature of the animal to be excitable the change of feed may not help. Having said that we sell loads of C&C so it must work - often people drop to R&R in the summer when the horse needs less feed energy.
