My anglo has started with a bit of headshaking, not teeth as he's been not long done, major work from when he came back from loan, and it's not really really bad, but I'm wondering if it's because the rape flowers are out and it's fields full round our way!

However, the nosenets are almost £30...!!! I don't begrudge buying one at all if it works, but is there an alternative anyone has used to just check to see if it IS a pollen-allergy...?

Cheers in advance!

My pony head-shakes from April till October and it was impossible to ride him out until I bought an equilibrium nose net. It is brilliant, he doesn't do it at all now. I have just had him blood tested to find out what exactly he is allergic to, as he seems to do it more when the midges are out so I don't know if its a plant thing or the midges annoying him. It's going to cost about £60 apparently for the test but at least we'll have an answer. Whatever it is, the nose-net is a very good investment as far as I'm concerned.

We have an Anglo too and he does head shake at certain times of the year. We found a nose net definitely works. Tried a couple of different makes but prefer the Equilibrium one as it is less noticeable and a better fit.

Well, it seemed to work!

...but he kept blowing into it, and dribbling, so it got longer...and longer, until in the end he was waving his head around and trying to catch the bottom of my home-made nosenet and eat it!

Will be buying a proper one now, he was having waaaaaaay too much fun with the temporary fix!

:D
